A Prayer on the Eve of
Maryam's eight birthday - June 29, 2000
Blow gently wind, upon my child
  And whisper dreams of happiness
She sleeps a while, in peacefulness
  Dreams of castles rising high,
  Dreams of orchards, meadows green
  And flowers dancing in between,
  Gently whisper as she sleeps
Dreams of angels in the sky,
  Of shining rivers flowing by,
  Dreams of nature's many gifts
Dreams of joy, of bounties all
  Pleasures big and pleasures small,
But most of all, do gentle breeze,
Breath in her ear, the gift of love
For All on Earth, and God above.
